It seems like the ‘acting gene' is hereditary in Michael Jackson's family with news that his daughter Paris has landed a role in an upcoming flick. But unfortunately for the 14-year-old, this news was met with contempt from Aunty Janet Jackson.

Apparently Paris's aunty is 'furious' about her new acting gig and a source told US Weekly that Janet "feels it goes against Michael's wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18'.

And this isn't the first time Janet blew a fuse over her Paris's career path. Back in December when Paris first landed the role Janet vented to a mag about her concerns: "We've spoken about the fact that you're only a child once," Janet told Prevention magazine in May. "I think there's a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films]. I told her I thought she should enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college—or not—but wait till she turns 18. She's a very tough, smart girl. But it's a cutthroat industry. I wouldn't want my child to do it."

Well looks like Janet's rant fell on deaf ears as Paris is keen to be just like his father: 'When I was really little, my dad was in the movie ‘Moonwalker' and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn't know he could act,' Paris Jackson told Elen DeGeneres in an interview last December. 'I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.''

Well you can't blame the teen for following in the footsteps of her family ...but let's hope she sticks to Janet and Michael and not her wacky aunt Latoya!
